Breakdown cover for London Taxis

As well as providing fantastic London Taxi insurance, we now offer a comprehensive UK & European breakdown and recovery service for taxis, minicabs, hire vehicles, disabled passenger vehicles and courier vehicles.

Our taxi breakdown cover includes the following features:

Roadside Assistance & Repairs
This is the minimum level of taxi breakdown cover we offer and provides roadside assistance throughout the UK, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. We aim to fix your vehicle at the roadside, but if we aren’t able to, we’ll take it to the nearest garage.

Home Assistance
Our Home Assistance provides cover when your taxi breaks down or is immobilised at or near the vehicle’s registered address – meaning you get all of the benefits of our Roadside Assistance cover when the vehicle has broken down at the registered address.

Cover Before You Travel
If your vehicle breaks down within 7 days of your scheduled departure date, or is stolen and not recovered before you leave, we will provide roadside or at home assistance, and recovery to the nearest repairer if required. We will also pay up to £1000 (or the current market value of the vehicle) towards the cost of a replacement hire vehicle for the duration of your trip.

Getting you to your Destination
If your vehicle cannot be repaired on the same day as the breakdown, we will pay the cost of transporting your vehicle, the driver and up to 4 passengers (for taxi breakdown) or all passengers for minibus breakdown (up to the number of fixed seats in the vehicle) to it’s destination; Hotel accommodation costs for you or the driver plus up to 4 passengers (limits apply); or the cost of hiring a replacement vehicle (terms and conditions apply).
